On the May day long weekend Katherine Model Aero Club hosted the first ASAA affiliated IMAC training seminar for the NT.

Over the last 10 years IMAC has become the biggest model flying competition in Australia were pilots fly an aerobatic sequence in a category which suits there skill level and are judged on the precision in which they perform each manoeuvre in the sequence.  14 pilots from the NT traveled to Katherine to learn about IMAC and practice flying the various sequences. They were taught the rules of competition and how the competitions are judged.

The 22nd NT Aeromodelling Championships will be held in Katherine on the 30th and 31st of July at the katherine Model Aero Club (KMAC).

Events include, Scale, Pattern Aerobatics, Glider, Helicopter, Reno Racing, Night Flying followed by a presentation evening.
